Please Read the README before you crash! ========== Welcome to - Other World /Coop = Alpha 3 Build 11 - ! ============ This Readme tells you EVERYTHING YOU NEED AND YOU NEED ONLY TO KNOW HOW TO INSTALL AND CREATE A SERVER. Please understand me, don't cheat. ====================================== - INSTALL OWORLD COOP WITH FILES - ====================================== Just download the full Other World Coop mod and copypasta to your half-life folder. It works with the WON/-(2) and Steam version. It's the host + client version. And install the mod to the dedicated server folder (only Steam). If you don't have it, install on My Tools "Dedicated Server" and run it, close it. ====================================== - INSTALL OWORLD COOP WITHOUT FILES - ====================================== Nah, i don't like it. Well, you need all wad files from the oworldcoop folder and copy it to the valve folder. If you don't have it, go to the website of Other World and open the page Downloads. http://dg50otherworld.bravehost.com Half-Life will itself create the files you need. But please note, it's a client version, not the host version! For getting a full moment from my mod, use the host version. This won't work on the Steam version. ====================================== - CREATE A SERVER ON STEAM - ====================================== Non-Dedicated Server: ===================== Not a great idea, it's not stable. Dedicated Server: <--Best way! ================= Launch Dedicated Server with -console -game oworldcoop. To change a map, type 'map ' on the server or via rcon. Do not change maps with changelevel ! ====================================== - CREATE A SERVER FROM WON(2) - ====================================== Non-Dedicated Server: ===================== Open Half-Life with hl.exe -console -dev -game oworldcoop Click console, type 'map *mapname*' and press Enter. Now enter on the console 'restart' to disable deathmatch. To change a map, type 'exec map.cfg' and after that, the 'map *mapname*'. Don't forget to restart it again. Dedicated Server: ================= Open hlds.exe with -console -game oworldcoop -insecure Type 'deathmatch 1' and load a map. Type after loading 'restart'. When you want to change the map, please type first 'exec map.cfg' then load another map and don't forget to restart. On Won, when Deathmatch is set to 0, it doesn't allow you to create a server -.- ====================================== - CONFIGURE THE SERVER - ====================================== ===== - Password - ===== To add a password just type on console or via rcon 'sv_password yourpassword'. ===== - Internet - ===== We added sv_lan 1 on the configuration files. To disable it, type while your server runs on the console "exec net.cfg" or via rcon. Have fun! ====================================== - HELP! / PROBLEMS! / QUESTIONS! - ====================================== Oh, i know, what the matter is. ===== - Why crashs your mod everytime? - ===== It's actually Alpha. On Steam, you need to run and load a map on Half-Life, then it shouldn't crash anymore. ===== - After restarting the server (first time), i can see the gun.... - ===== Type "deathmatch 0" on the console and type 'map level1'. Or reinstall the mod. ===== - It crashs after typing map *filename*. I checked everything, it still crashs T.T - ===== Yea, while i typed this whole readme, it's happened here too. Don't worry, delete the mod and re-extract or download it again. We're sorry, we don't know why, and we can't fix it. It's still Release Candidate (script files) version. ===== - Wat the hell? I can't see sometimes the players, keys, everything! Whats going on?! - ===== Calm down. We had this problem too, i was going crazy too. We fixed that on the Alpha 2 Build 6 version. If you have really this problem..what it can't be? Reinstall this mod or type with your hope on the console or via rcon gfix.cfg and restart it again with 'map level1'. Yea, just hope it works. ===== - Will be a Deathmatch mod of Other World coming? - ===== Use - Other World /Multiplayer Final 1.01 - No support. I cancelled it. I included the rmf files to change the levels.
